Junior Friend Meeting

teen volunteersThere will be a mandatory informational meeting for all Junior Friends on Thursday, June 1st  at 3:45 – 5 pm.  Young people entering grades 6-12 who are looking for something to do this summer may volunteer as part of the Junior Friends program at the  Library.  As a Junior Friend, young people can volunteer to: read to younger children as a Book Buddy, sign-up for a weekly shift in the Children’s Department to assist with the Summer Reading Club game, help children on the computers, or assist  at programs.  This is a great opportunity for students to fulfill required volunteer hours for Scouts, church organizations, Honor Societies, and High Schools.   Our Annual Parade will be happening again this year and we will require many extra Junior Friends to help coordinate this activity.  We will also need parental involvement for this program.  If at all possible, be prepared to stay through the duration of the meeting, which is usually between 5 and 5:20THE PRICE OF THE T-SHIRT HAS RISEN TO $5. 75, please bring money to the meeting if you’re interested.
