BEDTIME STORY FUN: TOYS, TOYS, TOYS: Delight in stories about toys at the library on Tuesday, November 29th at 6:30-7:15. Bring your favorite toy or a picture of you favorite toy. This is a family storytime for children ages 2 & up accompanied by an adult. Put on your pajamas or bring a blanket and listen to stories about different toys. Toy stories, songs, and crafts are planned for toddlers and preschoolers. Registration is required in person or by phone.
READ TO THE DOGS-Children in Grades 1-6, practice your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to a therapy dog. Sandy and her handler will be available on SATURDAYS, DECEMBER 3RD AND 17TH AND SUNDAY, DECEMBER 4TH from 2-4:30. This time includes a flexible 15-minute break for Sandy. This is a great opportunity for children who are reluctant readers, reluctant about dogs, or just love to read and be with our friend, Sandy!
Parents are encouraged to stay in the library. A volunteer or a library worker will be present during each session. You may sign up for a 15-minute session by calling the library or e-mailing rstutzma@nioga.org.

Cindy Sue will entertain us with Holiday songs and activities to help us get in the spirit of the Season. AMERICAN GIRLS: INNERSTAR UNIVERSITY: Join us at theLibrary on Thursday, December 15th at 4:00-5:15 for our next American Girl Club. Discover more about the girls attending Innerstar University. Each girl will be making their own Innerstar University yearbookBring a small picture (2x3) of yourself to put in your yearbook. Find out which girl from Innerstar University is most like you. Bring something for show & tell, such as your American Girl doll, any other doll, or something special to you. Join us for Holiday Craft Day at the Library. On Saturday, December 17th, children are invited to join us in the Children’s Room anytime between 10am and 4pm to create a cheery reindeer card. Then, you can help make an ornament to put on our library Christmas tree! Children five and under may need a parent’s help. No registration is required. Our Friend, Karl M. Kindt III, North Tonawanda's Visiting Knight in Shining Armor made a special visit to the library over the Thankgiving Break. He donated some very special books to our collection. His website is www.knightforhire.com. It contains information about his programs and also some of the stories that he told while he visited the library.
Children must be residents of North Tonawanda, Wheatfield, or Pendleton for any programs that require registration. All other programs are free and open to the public.
