The library currently has 16 public computers with Internet and word processing capabilities and five children’s computers, all of which have access to a networked laser printer. The printing charge is 15 cents per page for black and white or 50 cents for color prints. Library card holders may use computers for up to two hours a day. The computers are a self-serve resource as staff is not able to provide individual instruction. New computer users can check the events calendar to see if there are any upcoming BTOP computer classes.
The Library offers wireless connections to the Internet for wireless-capable laptops, handheld PDAs, and other wireless devices. To connect to the Internet while at the Library you will need: A wireless network interface card, wireless capable laptop or PDA using 802.11b protocol (or better).
The Library subscribes to a variety of databases. These databases are accessible through the Library’s on-line public catalog and via your home computer at Nioga Databases.
