The library subscribes to several databases (in addition to those accessible from the NIOGA Catalog) that can be accessed from within the library or from home.
- NEW! Gale Something About the Author- This treasured series, now available online, examines the lives and works of authors and illustrators of books for children and young adults. It includes not only well-known writers and artists but also less prominent individuals whose works are just coming to be recognized and is often the only readily available source on emerging authors and illustrators.
- Gale Biography in Context- Nearly a million biographical entries spanning history and geography. Useful for research and interesting to browse. Offers media-rich content in context that's updated daily to meet the needs of today’s user.
- Auto Repair Reference Center. - Repair procedures, diagrams and more available for domestic and foreign car models dating back as far as 1945. Information supplied by Nichols Publishing, the former publisher of the Chilton series. Available for remote access with your North Tonawanda library card.
- Gale Virtual Reference Library- Includes such titles as Novels for Students, Poetry for Students, Short Stories for Students and Drama for Students. Available for remote access with your North Tonawanda library card.
- Ancestry Library Edition- One of the most comprehensive genealogical collections available today. This database is available for in Library use only.
- HeritageQuest Online- Use this genealogical database to search census records, family and local histories, vital records, military records and PERSI (Periodical Source Index). Available for remote access with your North Tonawanda library card.
- Small Engine Repair Reference Center- Includes reference and instructional information about small engine machinery maintenance and repair. SERRC contains the full set of small engine repair manuals from Clymer (http://www.clymer.com/). These manuals contain thousands of accurate and concise step-by-step maintenance and repair instructions for hundreds of small engine machines and their supporting components. Routine maintenance, such as tune-ups and brake service, as well as more extensive repairs involving engine transmission disassembly are covered. Engines types include: motorcycles, ATVs, personal water craft, snowmobiles, lawn mowers, tractors, snow blowers, generators, and more.
